Welcome to the Pastoral Centre!

The Diocese of Helsinki’s new Pastoral Centre and Catholic Bookstore were solemnly inaugurated on Friday, 15 May, at Mannerheimintie 90 in Helsinki. The opening day gathered a large number of visitors, partners and friends of the Church to explore the new premises and the bookstore’s selection.

The event was opened by the Bishop of Helsinki, Msgr. Raimo Goyarrola, together with the Executive Director of the Pastoral Centre, Meisa Dano. During the day, Bishop Raimo delivered a welcoming address, presented his books and met visitors in a warm and joyful atmosphere. The presence of the ambassadors of Hungary, Croatia and Italy also brought particular joy to the celebration.

The Pastoral Centre, which began its activities in 2026, serves the parishes of the Diocese of Helsinki and brings together many of the Church’s shared activities in Finland under one roof. The Catholic Bookstore, located in the same premises, offers Catholic literature, materials for prayer and spiritual life, gift items and other Christian materials, now more visibly and accessibly located along busy Mannerheimintie.

Throughout the opening day, visitors were offered coffee and refreshments, and many people took the opportunity to become acquainted with the new facilities. The bookstore’s new location along busy Mannerheimintie makes it easily accessible both to Catholics and to all those interested.

The Catholic Bookstore is open on weekdays from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Mannerheimintie 90, Helsinki. Warmly welcome to visit, browse and spend time with us!
