Dear friends,
During the spring, I have had the opportunity to visit all our parishes and carry out episcopal visitations, with the exception of Kouvola, where the visitation will take place in August. I have been able to see and experience how you are doing and what life in the parish community is like, even in places where Catholics are few in number and the journey to church is long.
Thanks be to God, your faith is strong and your love for God and the Church is great. Our parishes are growing rapidly and the churches are full at Mass. Therefore, I ask you: pray that we may find new premises for Masses and for our parish activities.
Dear Christians, we can always carry God in our hearts and walk under the loving and secure care of Him and of our dear Mother Mary, also in our daily lives, wherever we may be and whatever we may be doing. I therefore encourage you, even during your holiday, to read the Gospel of the day every day. There you will find God’s great wisdom, which helps all of us to find rest and to receive true consolation and refreshment from God.
Do not forget to contemplate this beautiful world and this magnificent humanity as a reality created and willed by God, in which every human person is precious and in which each one of us can do something good.
