Starting from 2025, most of Fides‘ articles will be available on the magazine’s Swedish and English pages. We will also use artificial intelligence in translating the articles.
Fides to All Catholic Households
This issue of Fides, which will be published in the early days of December, is essentially sent to all Catholic households. The intention is that one copy of the magazine reaches every household of parish members. In recent years, the old parish membership register used in the diocese has been functioning less effectively, and this fall, a new membership register has been introduced. However, parishes may not have had the chance to verify all the details in the new system yet. Because of this, some households may receive multiple copies of the magazine, or in some cases, the magazine may not arrive at all.
Address Changes to Your Parish
In either case, it is advisable to contact your parish to ensure your address details are up to date. For the same reason, it is possible that the magazine may also be sent to addresses where it should no longer be delivered. In such cases, it is best to notify your parish or contact the address info@katolinen.fi. We apologize for these inconveniences, but fortunately, with the new membership register, the address list will be fully operational again soon.
A larger number of copies of the magazine are being sent to parishes, so if the magazine hasn’t reached you, it can be requested or picked up at your local parish.
New Website
Along with this issue, the new website for the magazine will also be launched at the familiar address, fides.katolinen.fi. The website’s design emphasizes news, the main articles of the magazine, and columns. All digitized issues of the magazine will also be available in the magazine’s digital archive.
Year 2025
In the coming year, Fides is planned to be sent to households four times. The magazine’s issues in the spring (2/2025) and fall (4/2025) will only be available digitally. There may be further changes to the publication method if the diocese’s financial challenges become too great. However, the publication and distribution of Fides can always be supported through donations (katolinen.fi/lahjoita (Visit an external site.
